Mongolian autonomous prefecture and Tibetan of Haixi

The autonomous prefecture Mongolian and Tibetan of Haixi (Chinese simplified: 海西蒙古族藏族自治州; Pinyin: Hǎixī měnggǔzú zàngzú Zìzhìzhōu ; Tibetan: མཚོ་ནུབ་སོག་རིགས་ཆ་བོད་རིགས་རང་སྐྱོང་ཁུལ་ ; Transliteration Wylie: Mtsho-nub Sog-rigs dang Bod-rigs row-skyong-khul) is an administrative division of the province of the Qinghai in China.

Its surface is of: 325785  km ²  .

The population of the prefecture was estimated at: 340000 inhabitants in 2004.

Administrative subdivisions

The autonomous prefecture Mongolian and Tibetan of Haixi exerts her jurisdiction on eight subdivisions - two city-counties, three counties and three “administrative committees”  :
  • the town of Delingha - 德令哈市 Délìnghā Shì   ;
  • the town of Golmud - 格尔木市 Gé' ěrmù Shì   ;
  • the county of Wulan - 乌兰县 Wūlán Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Dulan - 都兰县 Dūlán Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Tianjun - 天峻县 Tiānjùn Xiàn   ;
  • the administrative committee of Lenghu - 冷湖行政委员会 Lěnghú Xíngzhèng Wěiyuánhuì   ;
  • the administrative committee of Da Qaidam - 大柴旦行政委员会 Dàcháidàn Xíngzhèng Wěiyuánhuì   ;
  • the administrative committee of Mangya - 茫崖行政委员会 Mángyá Xíngzhèng Wěiyuánhuì .
