Money (song of Pink Floyd)

Money is the 6th song of the group English of progressive Rock Pink Floyd on their album Dark Side off the Moon . It is the only song of the album to reach signal 20 in the charts American S. On the Disque original vinyl, it opens the second face of the album. She was written by Roger Waters.

Composition

" Money" is notable for its measurement. Like writing on the partition, prevalent measurement is into 7/4 (although some affirm that it is only one alternation of 4/4 and of 3/4). David Gilmour, the guitarist says that it is into 7/8 in documentary the The Making off The Dark Side off the Moon . The majority of the songs Rock are into 4/4, or a common time (2/2, 8/8, etc), and the majority of the exceptions are into 3/4 or a common time (6/8, etc). During the solo of guitar, the song changes into 4/4, returns into 7/4, and still finishes into 4/4. That was done thus because David Gilmour thought that it would be too complicated to create a solo into 7/4.

With " All you need is love" of Beatles, " Money" is the only song into 7/4 has to have reached the head of the classifications.
