History

The treaty of Versailles of 1769 fixed the current border, dividing into two the parish of Mondorff. The Luxembourg part kept the name of Mondorff until in 1872, creation date of the first postal office at the balneal village. Following the delivery of a postmark, which by mistake in interpretation presented one " F" final, the Luxembourg part of the locality twins with adoptee the new denomination of Mondorf, with the addition: - The-Baths.
