Mondays of the History
Mondays of the History is an emission diffused on France Culture since 1966, which does of them one of the oldest emissions of the French public radio. She was created by the producer of radio Pierre Sipriot.
Generally it joins together an organizer and guests around a common topic which refers to the general history. All the historical periods are represented. The choice of the topic depends on the organizer; they are often a discussion between the author of a historical work and guests who are themselves qualified in the field studied by the author. This emission is made conspicuous by the quality of its guests who are very often the best French and foreign historians on the topics approached. It is in addition animated by a team of university historians who try to diffuse research histories specialized near more many people; it is an emission which is addressed thus to the professional historians but also to the laymen.
Mondays of the History received the Diderot-Universalis price in 1985 for its first attribution.
