Moncourt (vault)
Moncourt is a destroyed village located on the ground of Sauvigny in the department of the Meuse, in area Lorraine.
Geography
Moncourt is located at the border between the departments of the Meuse and the the Vosges, near Clérey-the-Coast.
History
This village was destroyed at the time of the Guerre Thirty Year old, it remains today only the vault of this village of Moncourt , dating from XIIIe century.
Although located in Meuse on the territory of Sauvigny, the vault was bought by the inhabitants of Clérey-the-Coast like national good. This place of worship was the residence many hermits.

This vault dedicated to holy Gibrien was the center of important a pilgrimage , holy Gibrien being called upon by those which lost a member or which are guilty of religious unconcern, it had thus with are active many cures. There remains a pilgrimage each August 15th.
The source which runs there would have virtues against the intestinal diseases, it is in the center many beliefs: for example, if one horizontally posed a clothing on the fountain and that it fell at the bottom, the cure were assured.
Many a tombs mérovingiennes would seem to be located around but no excavation was carried out to date.
