Monastery of the Trinity-Saint-Serge

The monastery of the Trinity-Saint-Serge or Laure of Holy the Trinity-Saint-Serge (in Russian: Троице-СергиеваЛавра) is an important monastery orthodoxe Russian located in the town of Serguiev Possad, to approximately 90 km in the North-East of Moscow.

History

Monastery founded by Holy Serge de Radonège, patron saint of the Russia at the 14th century.

Artistic inheritance

The architectural whole of laure of Holy the Trinity-Saint-Serge is registered on the Liste of the world heritage of UNESCO since 1993.
