Monarch
A monarch is leading, representative or Head of State, which can be hereditary or elected (as in certain States the such old kingdom of Poland which used a system of election or current the Malaysia which operates an alternation between the hereditary monarchs of nine traditional States).
A nation or a State directed by a monarch is called a Monarchie . A system of government implying a monarch is a Monarchie.
The term “king” appoints a monarch of male sex, unless it is not indicated under another title such as Empereur if it directs a Empire. The term “Reine” is applied to a woman monarch (a reigning queen), but also to the wife of a king (a queen consorte). A monarchy directed by a king or a queen is called a kingdom .
Nowadays, few monarchs exert an absolute power.
