Geography
History
The day before the Revolution, of 1778 with 1782, the baron of St-Julien, Lord of Momuy, had lawsuit against the priest of the village, the Sr Labeyrie. This one had been named by the young lady Henriette Dutroy like the author of her pregnancy. Scandal at the village! Mr. de Momuy who had had disagreements with the Ecclésiastique, took this occasion to ask for his expulsion. The defendant defended himself by quoting the baron for calumny. The report of defense of the lord is full with interest: 40 witnesses are assigned, since the cooker of the Château until the Chanoine, brother of the priest. During 4 years the village lived at the rate/rhythm of the procedure, crossed in two factions which were hated. Thus when people of the lord of Momuy passed in the street, their enemies shouted: Ah! ah! the wind vane passes! It is remarkable that in this small village of the Moors as everywhere in France this symbol was employed to indicate the " left the castle ". One includes/understands better their general destruction after the Nuit of August 4th.Gallo-Roman occupation.
In 1341, the village was set up in country house by Edouard III of England.
