Momoros
Momoros , in the Celtic Mythology Gallic, is a Druide, whose name would mean βthe swanβ.
According to the legend, it is with the king Atepomaros one of the founders of the town of Lyon. Come from north, they stopped on a hill located in edge of the the Saone. According to the instructions of an oracle, they undertake the construction of a city, when the site is invaded by a multitude of corbels. This animal being heralding the presence of the god Lug, it is issued that the city will name β Lugdunum β i.e. the fortress (or hill) of Lug.
Foot-note : dunon in Gallic (Latin ized in dunum ), dun in Irish and DIN in Welsh, is a toponym running in the Celtic world. It means fortress and secondarily hill.
