- At the 16th century, the stronghold is bought by the family of Sully.
- Of 1601 with the Revolution, Molières depend on the county of Limours.
- the village is known for the extraction of the sandstone and grinding, being used for manufacture of the grinding stones. A strong community of Italian workmen lived there. The careers ceased their activity about 1950.
