Mol (Belgium)
Mol is a common Dutch-speaking of Belgium located in Flemish Région, in the Province of Antwerp.
History
The Belgian first Nuclear reactor was built with the Nuclear plant of Mol in 1962. It is definitively stopped since 1987 and currently in nuclear phase of Démantèlement.
The communes of Mol and Dessel are candidates for a center of storage of Radioactive waste on the surface. The commune of Mol also accommodates an underground research laboratory intended to evaluate the feasibility of the Stockage of the radioactive waste in deep geological layer in the layer of clay located at approximately 250 m of depth.
