Moissy-Cramayel

Moissy-Cramayel is a common French, located in the department of Seine-et-Marne and the area Île-de-France.

Its inhabitants is called Moisséens.

Geography

The commune is served by a station the RER D, with horse on the communes of Lieusaint and Moissy-Cramayel. A bus in exclusive right of way the Square then Corbeil-Essonnes is in project.

History

Formerly named Moissy-l' Evesque, the village was sold to the lord of Cramayel (count de Cramayel) in 1643 and took the name of Moissy-Cramayel. The term moissy comes from the word harvest.

Currently, the urban area belongs to the new Ville of Sénart.

  • Pyramid of Cramayel, it is a Obélisque out of 25 height meters stone overcome by a sphere of Cuivre. Set up in 1767 per Mr Fontaine, lord of the manor of Cramayel, to celebrate its 20 years of marriage.
