Moineville

Moineville is a common French, located in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle and the area Lorraine.

Geography

Moineville is located at a score of kilometers in the North-West of Metz, in edge of a4 highway.

Moineville is composed of 3 agglomerated parts: Moineville and Beaumont along the valley of the Flowering ash and the Paradise on the plate. Surface of the village: 812 ha 44 ares Topography since the bed of the Flowering ash: altitude 185 m At the top of the plate: 240 m

Moineville is a village burst with several districts: the borough centers (town hall, church, trade…) gathering some 500 inhabitants; Beaumont gathering the 1/3 of the population " siège" today of one of the highway toll of most important of the East of France (A4); The Paradise whose birth goes back to the Thirties at the time of the exploitation of the Mine.

Serry: hamlet whose first bodies of farm left ground about the year millet, statue, stele, menhir… of the objects out of stone symbolize each one of these districts. In Moineville the size of the stone was a strong tradition. This tradition and technique are given to the last style while making these various objects, by also rehabilitating many stone floors of size.

This commune was a village-border with Germany between 1871 and 1914.

Village before very rural, Moineville will know strong upheavals with the opening of the Mine in 1930. The cohabitation between farmers and minors will not be easier besides. In 1959, the Hope, first allotment of minors is born. In the Sixties, the population starts to decline with the first iron and steel sudden starts. The relaunching of the village will intervene in the Seventies with successive construction several allotments which will involve a massive renewal of the population.
