Mohsen Dalloul

Mohsen Dalloul (born in 1933) is a Politician Lebanon board.

Near to the National movement, of Kamal Joumblatt and the parties palestino-progressists during the war, he played various parts in the shade, in the negotiations with the Palestinians, the Syrians and with the general Michel Aoun during the negotiations of the Accords of Taëf.

In 1991, it is named appointed Shiite of Baalbeck-Hermel, to be then elected appointed of Zahlé in 1992, 1996 and 2000. Near as well to Rafiq Hariri as of the Syrian capacity, it becomes between 1992 and 1998 Minister for Defense, after having occupied the ministry for the Agriculture of 1989 with 1992, in the governments of Salim el-Hoss, Omar Karamé and Rachid Solh.

In 2005, it leads the list supported by the Alliance of March 14th to Zahlé, but loses the elections vis-a-vis the list directed by Elias Skaff and allied with the Free patriotic current of the general Michel Aoun. Nabih Berri would have contributed to the defeat of Dalloul, which he regarded as a serious rival for the presidency of the Parliament.
