Mohammed Zaïdan

Mohammed Zaïdan (born the December 10th 1948 in the village of Tirat, close to Haïfa - died the March 8th 2004), whose name of war is Abū `Abbās (Arab: ابوعباس) or Muhammad `Abbās , is the founder of the Front of Release of Palestine.

It is initially close to the Liberation popular front of Palestine - General Command (FPLP-CG) of Ahmed Jibril. After dissensions with Jibril about alliance with the Syria, it recreates in April 1977 the Front of Release of Palestine.

It is implied in the Crise of Sigonella which relates to the diversion the October 7th 1985 of the boat of cruising 'Achille Lauro.

It is captured by the American special forces with Baghdad in April 2003, before dying at the 56 years age the March 8th 2004 of a Heart attack, whereas it is held by the American forces.
