Mohammad Youssef Beydoun

Mohammad Youssef Beydoun (born with Beirut in 1931) is a politician Lebanon board.

Bachelor of law of the Saint-Joseph University, he is elected appointed Shiite of Beirut in 1972. During the civil war, it occupied the post of minister of Industry between 1980 and 1982 within the government of Chafic Wazzan. Between 1990 and 1992, he is Minister for the Hydraulic resources and electric in the cabinet of Omar Karamé.

Close combined former Prime Minister Salim El-Hoss, he is re-elected on his list appointed of Beirut in 1992 and 1996. In 1992, it is presented to the Presidency of the Parliament, supported by the rare voices of the Opposition, but is beaten by Nabih Berri.

In 1998, Salim El-Hoss becomes again Prime Minister and entrusts three ministerial positions to him: state education, Youth and Sports; technical education and professional and Culture. In 2000, they will be both beaten by the candidates of the list of Rafiq Hariri.

Since its defeat in September 2000, Mohammad Youssef Beydoun was withdrawn from the active political life.
