Mohamed Taki Abdulkarim

Mohamed Taki Abdulkarim (1936 - November 6th 1998) was president of the the Comoros of 1996 to its death.

Born in Mbeni (Large Comore) and resulting from a privileged family, grandson of Djumbé Fumu, going down from the Sultan Msa Fumu. It leaves to make its studies with Madagascar then in France where it obtains a diploma for the occupation of engineer in public Travaux. Of return to the the Comoros, Said Mohamed Sheik names it responsible for public works with Anjouan or it becomes acquainted with Ahmed Abdallah.

  • 1970 : Minister for the development in the second government of Said Ibrahim Ben Ali

  • 1971: Minister for education
  • 1972: Minister for rural development under the government of Saïd Mohamed Jaffar
  • 1973: Minister for the equipment under Ahmed Abdallah to which it is close
  • 1975: Minister of Interior Department

It takes refuge in Mbéni at the time of the mode of Ali Soilih, resists by a practice of civil Désobéissance, and finishes in prison after the intervention of the Mercenaire S.

  • 1978 : secretary of the Council of the directory chaired by Ahmed Abdallah

  • 1978 - 1984: chair House of Commons

It breaks with Abdallah and takes refuge in France.

  • 1990 : return to the country and candidate with the elections after the death of Abdallah; Said Mohamed Djohar elected after 3 turns bus of the frauds has summers made
