Mohair

The mohair is a Laine manufactured starting from the fleece of the Chèvre Angora of Asia Mineure. It has as a characteristic to join to its capacity heat insulator (cold like heat!) a very great lightness.

It is in particular used with synthetic fibers for the realization of skins of Phoque for the Ski touring.

Ankara goats are currently high in France. The majority of the stockbreeders sell the mohair in end products directly. A charter of " quality; mohair of the farms of France" was elaborate.

The mohair is also used to create wigs with the headstocks, like the Pullip for example
