Mogneneins

The Commune of Mogneneins is located on left bank of the Saone, at 5 km in the south of Thoissey, sits of the community of common Valley Of the Saone-Chalaronne. It is thus located at the west of the department of Ain; it depends administratively on Borough in Bresse, place chief.

The Commune of 577 inhabitants consists of three separate districts from/to each other and of the variations:

the Borough gathered around the church, the town hall, the versatile room.

the Hamlet of Flurieux
Variations: The Wearing of Blackberry in the south of the Saone.
Déaulx in edge of the MINOR ROADS 933.
Banks in edge of the TGV
the district of the station.

The village currently populated of 577 people counted of them 1275 in 1851 and no denomination of the inhabitants is known. The resources of this time were mainly agriculture, the breeding and the vineyard, now disappeared.

The habitat concentrates on the height of the slopes (230 m), dominating the Saone. Another brook, Jorfon (or Gerfond) takes its source in the center of the commune in uneven of 50 m separating the plate dombist and the western plain from the Saone. This one receives the risings which occur regularly each year.

History

To the revolution of 1789, Mogneneins belonged to the Principality of Dombes. The Saint-Vincent Parish and its goods were managed by a Fabric committee. The introduction of the Republic modified the civil and administrative life inhabitants of Mogneneins who form part maintaining of the canton of Thoissey.

Happy people do not have history but stories. The wars of religion, the French revolution disturbed the district of the village; the modern wars decimated male youth and devastated the hearths where the women, particularly in the farms, took over man.

Returned peace, it makes good things in life with Mogneneins!!!.
