Moderna museet

Moderna museet , the museum of Modern art of Stockholm, is a museum located on the island of Skeppsholmen in the center of Stockholm in Sweden. It opened its doors in 1958 and its first director was Pontus Hultén.

He shelters Swedish and international works of art contemporary, of which parts of Picasso, Dali, and other Masters of the modern art. The restaurant of the museum is also famous thanks to its exceptional localization.

Since the first February 2007, the access to the collections is paying. The entry is of 80 Swedish crowns, 60 for the students.

In 1993, six works of Picasso and two of Braque of a full value of more than 60 million euro were catch there in a break-in inspired of the film Of the trouble at the men. Only three works of Picasso one since summer found.

The building which shelters the museum nowadays was built between 1994 and 1998, and was drawn by the Spanish architect Rafael Moneo.
