History

The history of the store goes back to more than one century.

At the end of the XIX° century, Leon Baudot opens his store to sell humorous papers , and especially the first objects of jokes and traps, in the form of machines of Prestidigitation and Physique.

In 1913, Henri Billy sells to with it the materials of Illusion

In 1933, Andrée Mayette takes again the store and baptizes it of its name. It made edition there and gains a European reputation.

In 1965, Michel Hatte buys the store and the publisher

In 1991, Dominique Duvivier repurchases the store with his/her daughter Alexandra.
