Mode of Atkins
slimming Mode proposed by Dr. Robert Atkins. It rests on a food rich in Protéine S (meat, fish, cheese, eggs) and without restriction of the grease S but limiting the contribution in Glucide S (bread, pastes, rice, etc). The consumption of Fruit S and Légume S is also limited. It is about an unbalanced food mode likely to involve deficiencies in vitamins and biogenic salts. The Atkins mode belongs to the modes Hypoglucidique S, or “low-carb”, i.e. low in glucids. This type of mode presents a main risk of metabolic complications with dyslipidemy and complications cardiovascular (Hypertriglycéridémie, Pancréatite, hepatic Stéatose, lubricating Embolie). The National council about the Doctors emits a serious warning statement on this mode because it brings into play a vital risk: Endangered of the life of others.
