The mlomp is a rare language spoken in Casamance (Senegal). It belongs to the nigéro-Congolese Langues.

Population

One speaks the mlomp mainly in the village about Mlomp, in the neighbouring localities and sporadically in the country.

In 2002 one counted 4.895 speakers.

Description

It is relatively close to the Diola and especially to the Karoninka.
