Mixed venous blood
Venous blood Miss is that which one finds in the right cavities of the Cœur (auricle, Ventricule right). For various technical reasons, it is possible to be satisfied, with an aim of making analyzes, blood taken in the venas cava higher or lower. This practice makes it possible to avoid a puncture made directly in the heart.
The normal values, at a healthy individual are:
- pH: 7.32-7.38;
- venous pressure oxygenates some (PvO2): 35-45 mmHg;
- venous pressure out of CO2 (PvCO2): 42-50 mmhg;
- venous saturation oxygenates of them (SvO2) 65 - 75%;
It is possible to consider a flow cardiac if one has the values of VO2 and arterial oxygen saturation (SaO2) in addition to the value of SvO2, thanks to the following equation:
VO2 = Qc X DavO2
from which one deduces:
Qc = VO2/((SaO2-SvO2) xHbx1.34)
where:
SvO2 is venous O2 saturation (venous blood Miss) (%)
SaO2 is arterial O2 saturation (%)
VO2 is the oxygen concommation (mlO2/(min X kg)
Qc is the cardiac flow (Lsang/min)
Hb is the rate of hemoglobin (g/l)
