The mivacurium is a curare not-depolarizer of the family of the benzylisoquinoline S, marketed in the form of mivacurium chloride (Mivacron ®). It is usually used like Myorelaxant in General anesthesia and Réanimation.
The mivacurium is distinguished from the other curares not-depolarizers by two pharmacological characteristics: its short duration of action (approximately 15 minutes) and its metabolism, under the dependence of the plasmatic pseudocholinestérases.
