Mitsuru Numai
Male character of the novel, manga and film Battle Royal. It belongs to the class the 3rd B of the municipal college of Shiroiwa (department of Kagawa) which takes part in the Program. Gang leader of delinquents (in film seulment) whose members are Hiroshi Kuronaga, Ryuhei Sasagawa, Sho Tsukioka and Izumi Kanai. It is killed in company of his friends by Kazuo Kiriyama. This one had been done captured by the band before stealing the machine-gun of Ryuhei and all the abattres.
In the manga and the novel, Numaï is the last arrived at the point of appointment fixed by Kiriyama (only Tsukioka did not come). It will be made cut down and dies in the sides of his comrades, it will never include/understand this reaction, him which thought that the group was plain with life.

Numaï lived in a modest family. It spent its time fighting in the streets and at the schools to prove that it is strongest. But one day, in fifth, three people of third accosts it. They cause Numaï in duel. This last was not likely any to gain, they broke one of its fingers during the confrontation, whereas they were on the point of remaking the same thing, Kiriyama intervenes. This last gets rid easily of the three men. Impressed, Numaï since this moment left it more, it found somebody stronger than him.
He is played by Yousuke Shibata in film.
