Mitsui

Mitsui (三井) is one of the more large companies (keiretsu, 系列) of the Japan.

History

The company was founded by Takatoshi Mitsui and its seat is located today at Tokyo in the district of Shinjuku 新宿, all the offices being located in Mitsui Building.

Mitsui created the first private Banque of Japan on July 1st 1876 which bore later the name of Sumitomo.
