Mitchell Sharp

honourable the Mitchell William Sharp , C.P., D.C., B.A., D.Sc, LL.D. (1911 - 2004) was a politician and a Canadian minister .

Born with Winnipeg, he studies with the Université of Manitoba then between to the London School off Economics. He begins his career in the public office in 1947 and becomes deputy minister associated with the trade under John Diefenbaker.

Appointed elected official of Eglington in 1963, he is the Minister for Finance Lester B. Pearson. Of 1974 with 1978, he is president of the Private Conseil and Leader of the government to the House of Commons of Canada.

Of 1978 with 1988, he is police chief deprived for an agency of Pipeline S of the Northern Canadian. The same time, it chairs a work force on the conflicts of interests. With 1988 with 1993, it is associated in Public policy with the firm Strategion. He was also vice-president of the Trilateral Commission.

The February 22nd 2004, it makes a fall and breaks its Clavicule at his place. Brought to the hospital Elizabeth-Heather of Ottawa, he is diagnosed Cancer of the prostate and dies the March 19th at the 92 years age. Member elect of the Order of Canada, it is buried with Ottawa.
