The Mistral is a steamer French builds by the Chantiers of the Atlantic to Saint-Nazaire. Inaugurated on June 25th, 1999, delivered this same month to cruisings Festival, then, following the failure of this last, was taken again by its builder Alstom, and delivered in January 2005 to the Spanish operator Iberojet. It makes 216 meters length, contains some 600 cabins for 1200 passengers, is propelled by 4 engines Wärtsilä genset series-38 of 31680 kw, has a cruising speed of 19,5 knots (approximately 36 km/h).

February 20th, 2001, it was failed the neighborhoods of the Guadeloupe.
