Mister Lonely (2007) is a film carried out by Harmony Korine, written with four hands with his/her brother Avi Korine. It will be projected on the French screens starting from March 12th 2008.
Synopsis
According to the Korine brothers, the film tells " history of a young American lost in Paris. He manages to remain as a double of Michael Jackson, dancing in the public streets, parks and the tourist places. Different from all, it with the impression to pitch between two worlds. During an automobile demonstration, Michael Jackson meets Marilyn Monroe. Haunted by its beauty angelica, it follows it in a Scottish small village, joining her husband Charlie Chaplin and its daughter Shirley Temple. A place where everyone is famous and where nobody does not age. There, the Pope, the Queen of England, Madonna, James Dean and other doubles assemble a spectacle in the hope that people of the outside world come to see them on scene. Nuns jump of plane and of the children pigs overlap. All is beautiful. Until the world changes, and which reality face intrusion in their dream utopique."Screen International speaks about " scenes turned in the house of anybody old, located in the Town of Bonnueil, at one following day and Paris time, in the gardens of Luxembourg and Montparnasse" , which " show decisions of last minutes suitable for the style of Korine." That continues by: " In the old people's home where Michael meets Marilyn for the first time, Luna is equipped like Jackson during its Dangerous time, leaving an awkward message to Parisian fourth age, singing " You' Re never gonna die, I want you to live forever" (" You will never die, I want that you live for toujours") while the residents fall asleep in their fauteuil."
