Miss Kat is a French artist resulting from the movement of the Street art in France since the Années 1990. It is known today as a one of the rare artists painting in the streets of big cities in the world, having its own concept by drawing female characters primarily. Miss Kat began at the beginning the movement in company of her assistant of the time, Miss Van, inspired both by the Graffiti of their birthplace Toulouse. Fafi, Read and other artists will follow…
Today independent artist, between Mythology and Popular culture, Miss Kat does not choose. From Toulouse with Chongqing, it puts in scene its female characters, inspired by the icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Bettie Page and more recently Catwoman. It invests urban space in order to propose a reading of these known as icons.
Currently, it mongrel its interventions of references to the history of painting, papers in filigree Occident and the Far East. Its works are monumental and reveal a desire to compose its works as of large fabrics in the space which is the city.
