Miss Europe

Miss Europe is an annual title given to gaining election of the same name.

The participating candidates with the election come from the countries of the geographical Europe, thus including Israel, the Lebanon and the Kazakhstan.

The contest was cré in 1928 and poursuiva until 1938. The election will remain in sleep to its alarm clock in 1949 by Roger Zeiler, President of the Mondial Vents Organization , and Claude Berr.

Each year, the majority of the candidates take part in the election of Miss Europe as a front transmission taking part in a contest of a world width like Miss Monde, Miss Universe, Miss Ground or Miss International.

However, it happens that candidates not having gained a price with another contest present themselves to the election of Miss Europe. For example Élodie Gossuin, Miss France 2001, which atteigna Signal 10 with the election of Miss Universe in May 2001 and gained the crown of Miss Europe later a few months. This case often arises, indeed Shermine Shahrivar gained the title in 2005 after having taken part in the contest Miss Universe, just like Alexandra Rosenfeld in 2006.

Let us note that at the time, gaining them of the title “Misses Europe” could take part in other contests. Thus Corine Rottschäfer, Miss Europe 1957, gained the title of Miss Monde later two years.

This practice has been prohibited for several years.

The license “Miss Europe” belongs, since 2003, at the production company Endemol.

Miss Europe 2007

No date, nor place, was stopped for the organization of the election of Miss Europe 2007.

Russia, Sweden and the Ukraine made known their desires for accommodating the event.

Russia has wished for a few years to accommodate a beauty contest. The State presented besides candidature in order to accommodate the election of Miss Monde 2007, lost with the profit of Sanya in China, and the election of Miss Universe 2006 and 2007, without success. Russia is in addition in waiting of an answer concerning the reception of the election of Miss Universe 2008 and Miss Europe 2007.

The Committee Sweden Miss has several times wished to accommodate the election of Miss Monde or that of Miss Universe, without success too. The Scandinavian State now wishes to organize the election of Miss Europe.

Following the strong advertizing repercussions after the sacring of Alexandra Rosenfeld to Kiev, the Ukraine emitted the wish to reorganize the contest 2007 downtown of Odessa.

According to certain European committees, the election of Miss Europe 2007 will not be born. However, they are only rumors.
