Miribel is a common Frenchwoman, chief town of canton of the Ain. She belongs to the Lyons agglomeration .

Population (1999): 8  539 inhabitants.

The canton, which belongs to the Arrondissement of Borough-in-Bresse, comprises 5 communes and 19  195 inhabitants.
