historical General information
There existed, beside a ground camp, a big city of legionaries, related to displacements of VIII° legion. Important fortified town with the Middle Ages, Mirebeau was besieged in 1015 per Robert II the Piles. In 1636, the city was devastated by Imperial Official receptions, after a three day old seat. The common one took the name of Mirebeau-sur-Bèze in 1993.
