Mircea Snegur
Mircea Ion Snegur (January 17th 1940, Trifăneşti. RSS of Moldavie-) is a Moldavian politician , first president of the Republic of Moldavie.
Biography
Snegur leaves graduate the institute of Agriculture of Kichinev (from now on Chişinău). It integrates as of 1964 the Communist party of the Soviet socialist Republic of Moldavie. Of 1967 with 1971, Snegur works as an engineer-agronomist in the farms of State ( sovkhozes ) and the collective farms ( kolkhozes ) of RSS of Moldavie. It returns to the ministry for the agriculture of 1971 to 1978.Snegur carries out its political career of the time of the Union of the Soviet socialist republics with the Russianized name of Mirtcha Ivanovitch Snegur. Of 1985 with 1989, Snegur belongs to the political office of the central committee of the Communist party of RSS of Moldavie before becoming general secretary of Praesidium of the Supreme Soviet of RSS of Moldavie. Into 1990, RSS of Moldavie changes name and becomes the Republic of Moldavie, while remaining member of the USSR. Snegur remains at its post of head of Moldavie from April in September 1990 under the title of general secretary of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Moldavie.
