Mirages of Taiwan

The Mirages of Taiwan constitute a contract of armament signed by Dassault Aviation, the missilier Matra (become MBDA), Thomson-CSF (become Thalès) and the Snecma in 1991, in parallel of the sale of the frigates Fayette (see Affaire of the frigates of Taiwan).

Inquire of judge Van Ruymbeke

Parallel to the investigations into Thomson CSF (become Thalès) and the Business of the frigates of Taiwan, the judge Renaud Van Ruymbeke investigation into the sale of 60 Mirages 2000 with Taiwan with its armament of missiles MICA manufactured by Matra (become MBDA).

Secrecy Defense

Taking the initiative of any inclination of investigation of the judge Renaud Van Ruymbeke, Denis Ranque, the current president of Thalès, wrote to the minister Economy and Finances Francis Mer on October 10th, 2003. In this mail, Denis Ranque asked the minister to urgently seize the advisory Commission of the secrecy of national defense (CCSDN), in order to classify Secret defense the contract of the Mirage 2000 sold with Taiwan with their armament of missiles Matra MICA.

In September 2004, Serge Dassault made pressure on the drafting of the newspaper Le Figaro, which it has via the Socpresse, not to publish the interview of the main thing Intermédiaire of the Affaire of the frigates of Taiwan, Andrew Wang. The interview finally was published in September 2004 in the Point.
