Mirabel is a city of the Quebec (Canada) located in the regional Municipalité of county of Mirabel and the administrative area of the Laurentides.

Municipal chronology

  • January 1st 1971: 8 municipalities are amalgamated to form the town of Holy-Scholastique .
  • 1973 : Holy-Scholastique changes its name for town of Mirabel .

History

Old the International airport Montreal-Mirabel intended for the passengers was in function until November 2004. Henceforth, it is devoted to freight.

The parish of Saint-Benoît now forms part of the town of Mirabel.
