Minutes of the Inheritance

The minutes of the Inheritance are some 60 seconds short films illustrating of the important moments in the Canadian Histoire. They are diffused especially on television Canadian and in the cinemas before films, one or the other of the two official languages of the Canada. The minutes were introduced the March 31st 1991 like part of a historical quiz by the popular organizer Rex Murphy. The 13 original films were published and pass regularly in the advertizing breaks of Radio-Canada. The continuation of the minutes and the production of new short films were carried out by Charles Bronfman and Postes Canada. The narrator is Patrick Watson. However, the capsules created certain a faintness in Quebec, in particular in the community of the historians, these short films being, according to them, often untrue and having a goal of embellishment of the history of Canada.
