Minoru Kano

Minoru Kano (born the April 25th 1930 with Tokyo, Japan - died the February 12th 2007) was a Japanese sculptor, alive in France.

Biography

  • 1949 : National university of Arts of Tokyo.

  • 1954: Price of the Young Sculpture, Tokyo.
  • 1957: Grant of the French government, settles in Paris, attends the Janiot Workshop with the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the Art schools of Paris.
  • 1958: Attend the workshop Zadkine - Academy of the Large Thatched cottage, Paris.
  • 1959-1964: Study the Romanesque art. Realization of the stone reproduction, life size of famous “Eve of Autun” of Gislbertus.
  • 1964: Give up the marble and the stone. Work epoxy the, composite one containing resin.
  • 1973: Take part in the symposium of sculpture of Sénart.
  • 1992: Realization of the trophy “Price UNESCO for the promotion of art”. Work plywood exclusively.
