Minority Language

A minority language is a spoken language by linguistic minorities '' '', national or ethnic , in a given country. Thus cases of French in the Valley of Aoste, of the Catalan in France. They are also called minorized languages, indigenous S, Indigène S, Aborigène S. In certain countries, in particular in the majority of the countries of Europe (other than the France ¹), but also in Canada and in the South Africa according to the Apartheid, of the laws a definition and a statute private individuals grant to such languages.

In France ¹ they are generally called regional languages . The reason is that the French State recognizes the Régions, but not the Minorité S, which are protected by international texts emanating from UNO and UNESCO concerning the linguistic minorities and others, and rights of these minorities.
