Minervois

The Minervois (in occitan Menerbés ) is a natural Région of France located in the area of the Languedoc-Roussillon (departments of the Herault and the Aude). It owes its name with the Village of Minerve, classified among the Plus beautiful villages of France. Its name comes from the goddess Minerve at the time Roman.

Extending between Narbonne and Carcassonne, separated from the Corbières by the Aude, Minervois is made up basic hills on the southern slope of the black Montagne. It is crossed in its southern edge by the Canal of the South.

Minervois is famous for its Vin S (AOC Minervois).
