Milton Work
Milton C. Work (1864 - 1934) was an authority recognized in the world of the plays of the Whist and the Bridge.
In its writings, it suggests a novel mode of evaluation of the hands to the bridge, a very simple and effective system which is always an immense success:
- Ace = 4 points;
- King = 3 points;
- Lady = 2 points;
- Servant = 1 point;
- lower charts (10, 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2) = 0 points.
This system, initially known like the points Work , and was then adapted by Charles Goren to evaluate all the hands. Today, one speaks simply about points of honors .
