Milo Giacomo Rambaldi

Milo Rambaldi is a character of fiction of the universe of Alias. Rambaldi is a Prophète and a brilliant, creative inventor of techniques and mechanisms having several hundred years in advance over their time.

Biography

Born with Parma in 1444, Rambaldi is educated by the monks vespertins. It is presented to that which would become the pope Alexandre VI of the Catholic church at the 18 years age. When this one becomes pope, in 1492, Rambaldi becomes its architect as a chief.

Rambaldi suggested in its works that one day, science would enable us to know God. He is opposed thus to the Archidiacre Claudio Vespertini, which makes it condemn to dead for heresy in 1496 and makes erase its name of all the public buildings and destroy its workshop.

Little time after its death, and the discovery of a second secret workshop with San Lazzaro, the drafts, diagrams and plans of Rambaldi was sold with the biddings for almost nothing.

Works

Milo Rambaldi was interested in all kinds of fields, of the Anatomie (study of the human Cœur) to the thorough Physical sciences (creation of a kind of cellphone). Its drawings, studies and plans were written in various languages, of the Italian to hybrid forms of Démotique. He invented the techniques of Data compression and used the Binary system. It is also the first to have marked its documents, composed on polymer fiber sheets, of a Filigrane, the Eye of Rambaldi (representing an eye, , of which the significance is revealed in the fourth season of Alias), visible only with the black light.

The majority of its inventions had been dispersed in the whole world after its disgrace; the Disciples of Rambaldi, like Arvin Sloane, seek to find them. Indeed, the assembly of several independently useless works of Rambaldi often makes it possible to lead to its original creation, of most complicated, like It To say at the end of the second season (maximum Risk (The Telling)) , made up of 47 artefacts, with simplest, like its clock of the first season (foul weather (Time Will Such)) .

Prophecies

Rambaldi is also known for its prophecies; he had thus predicted the event release of the First World War, and the bombardment of Hiroshima (48 hours (Countdown)) . In Alias, two of its prophecies are of paramount importance, and relate to Sydney Bristow: the first accompanies a drawing of a woman resembling Sydney, and predicted that the drawn woman will be that which will achieve her work; the second predicts that Elected (according to Irina Derevko, it is about Sydney) and the Passenger (the half-sister of Sydney, Nadia Santos) will fight and that none will survive (or only one, in the version of the third season).

Heritage

At the twentieth century, one redécouvrit extent of creations of Rambaldi, and large political directors, as Hitler (which called it " Nostravinci" ; the authors seem to be themselves inspired at the same time of Léonard de Vinci and Nostradamus, and Michael Vaughn makes this bringing together in Opération “Thunder six” (So It Begins…) ) and Stalin, were interested in him; Rambaldi had indeed created, inter alia, of the energy sources and the weapons superpuissantes. Arvin Sloane and Irina Derevko is, at the time of the action of Alias, the two most influential Disciples.
