Millencolin is a group of skate- Punk formed in October 1992 by Erik Ohlsson, Mathias Färm and Nikola Sarcevic with Örebro, in Sweden. Fredrik Larzon joined the group with the beginning of the year 1993. The Millencolin term comes from the figure of Skateboard named Melancholy (also known under the name of “sad air”).

CD of the group are published by the Swedish label Burning Heart Records, except with the the United States where the albums of Millencolin are published by Epitaph.

Since 2003, the group organizes a contest of skateboard named Millencolin Open with their clean skatepark of Örebo, in Sweden. The members of the group say to have created this contest because the skateboard is what joined together them, and because they have from now on opportunity of making some profit their city.

Members

Style

The musical style of Millencolin evolved/moved during the years. Their current songs are closer to the aggressive rock'n'roll, whereas some their old songs were ska-punk and punk rock'n'roll of the years 1970. In the beginning rapids and festive, their songs became increasingly posed and effective, close to the Rock-and-roll.
