Militate Templi

Milites Templi (Latin expression meaning Soldats of the Temple) is a papal bubble written by the Pape Célestin II on January 9th 1144 which orders with the Clergé to protect and support the Chevaliers of the Temple but also to faithful to contribute to their cause, in particular in this last case by granting indulgences to the benefactors of the ordre.
This papal bubble also enables them to celebrate the divine office in the areas subjected to the interdict when the collectors were present.

The bubble Milites Templi constitutes with optimum Omne datum and Militia Dei the base of the formation of the Ordre and its success.
