Military museum of Belgrade

The military Musée of Belgrade (in Serb Cyrillic ВојнимузејБеоград and into Serb transliterated Vojni muzej Beograd) is a Musée of Belgrade, the capital of the Serbia. It is located in the park and the fortress of Kalemegdan, which dominate the confluence of the Save and the the Danube. It was created the August 10th 1878 by the prince Milan IV Obrenović. The military Museum has a rich collection of more than: 26000 parts.

Collections

The military Museum of Belgrade has parts dating from the Préhistoire, the ancient Greece and the Roman period, in particular of the helmets and the swords.

The medieval period is well represented in the collections. The Museum present of the armor S, the shields, the helmets, the crossbow S as of others medieval, Serb and Western weapons. It also has two lances and an armor Turkish coming from famous the Bataille of Kosovo Polje (1389)
