Milesiens
In the Celtic Mythology Irish, the Milesiens or the wire of Mil Espaine is the first human ones to have unloaded on the island. They succeeded the Tuatha Dé Danann, obliged to take refuge in the Sidh.
According to the Lebor Gabala Érenn, they came from Spain and arrived in Ireland during the festival of Beltaine, Amorgen Glungel at their head. , They came across the goddesses Eriu, Banba and Fotla and promised to them that the country would be named according to that whose council would help them to conquer this ground. Milesiens overcame the Tuatha Dé Danann with the battle of Tailtinn and took Tara, their capital where they were established. As it was the council of Eriu which enabled them to gain, the country was called Erin or Eire in its honor. After a short resistance, a truce was founded and the country was divided: Milesiens were entitled to the part above the ground while the Tuatha Dé Danann accepted the underground world. Eremon, a son of Mile, reigned on the north of Ireland and Eber Finn, one of the chiefs of Milesiens, reigned on the south. A little later the latter returned in war and Eber Finn was killed at the time of a battle; Eremon reigned then on all the territory and became thus the first human king of all Ireland.
