Milan Munclinger
Milan Munclinger , born the July 3rd 1923 with Košice (Slovakia) and dead the March 30th 1986 with Prague (Czech Republic), was a Flûtiste, Leader, Compositeur and Czech Musicologue .
Biographical
His/her father was a singer and director known with will l´Opéra National theater of Prague, his mother was an actress with the Slovak National theater with Bratislava.Between 1946-1952, Munclinger studied with the Conservatoire of Prague (the flute), with the Faculty of Czech Music of l´ Académie of the musical arts in Prague (direction and the composition) and with the Université Charles (musicology, esthetics, philosophy and orientalism).
Since 1946, it was directed before any worms the Baroque music and the questions of its interpretation. In 1951, it created l´ensemble Ars Rediviva whose l´enregistrements and concerts (commented by Munclinger) made known with the Czech general public the Baroque music.
Editor, leader
Munclinger published many Czech and German manuscripts d´archives (he collaborated in particular with the editions Supraphon, International Music Company New York and Baerenreiter). It also directed several formations of historical music (p.ex. the Chamber orchestra of Prague , Musici de Praga ). In 1955, it took part in the edition Musica Antiqua Bohemica , rewarded by the Grand Prix for the Disc: the Concerto for flute of Benda and that of Richter was the first recording of Jean-Pierre Rampal in Czechoslovakia (Jean-Pierre Rampal flute, Milan Munclinger direction, Chamber orchestra of Prague, Ars Rediviva; Supraphon SWEATED 190 37, partially republished in 2002 - to see external Liens: Benda, Stamitz, Rosetti Flute Concertos ).
Collaboration with Jean-Pierre Rampal
With Jean-Pierre Rampal, his Master and friend, Munclinger collaborated until his death in 1986. He was sworn contests of interpretation (p.ex. Concours of flute Jean-Pierre Rampal1980 and 1983), Master of the courses of interpretation to Bayreuth and Nice (the international Academy of summer). He dedicated in Rampal his rebuildings concerts of Johann Sebastian Bach.Written Rampal of Munclinger in its book Music, my life . It dedicated in Munclinger its performances music of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach.
Other activities
It was also given to the improvisation of jazz, founded the units Quatuor with wind Munclinger and Aulos , carried out many recordings. It made discover with the Czech public the modern French type-setters like André Jolivet.It belonged to the founders of the Musical Jeunesse in Czechoslovakia.
Its activity considerably influenced in its country the redécouverte of the old music.
