Mikhail Andreyevich Miloradovich
The count Mikhail Andreyevich Miloradovich (Russian: МихаилАндреевичМилорадович) (the October 12th 1771 - December 26th 1825) was a Russian general during the Napoleonean wars.
Of Serb origin, the Miloradović-Hrabren family was a noble family of Herzégovine and belonged to the Russian royal family.
Miloradovich is used under the orders as Alexandre Souvorov in the wars against Turkey and Poland, and in the countryside of Italy and Switzerland in 1799, where it is distinguished as commander. In 1805, after having reached the rank of Lieutenant-general, it is used under the orders of Mikhail Koutouzov in the Campagne as Austria, taking part in the actions of Enns and Krems and with the Bataille of Austerlitz of the December 2nd, during which its column holds the heights of Pratzen.
During the Russo-Turkish Guerre it is still distinguished several times, and a sword decorated with diamond, carrying the inscription “ For the courage and the safety of Bucharest ” (1806), is allotted to him. It demolishes Turks with Obileşti (Romania current, 1807). For the battle of the fortress of Rassevat (Bulgaria, 1809) it is made general of infantry in 1810.
During the countryside of Russia Napoleéon, Miloradovich is on the front of the scene, and it is those which with the most success. To the Bataille of Borodino it leads the reserve army, and later, order the rear-guard which delays the occupation of Moscow. After Napoleon began his retirement, Miloradovich demolishes the French with the Bataille of Viazma. Its army corps is then one of most active in the continuation of Large army of Napoleon.
In 1813 it leads the rear-guard of allied to the Bataille of Bautzen. With the Bataille of Kulm it orders the Russian and Prussian bodies, which it also leads to the Bataille of Leipzig. In 1814, Miloradovich orders the quota combined in the Netherlands.
From 1818 he is military governor of Saint-Petersbourg. The December 26th 1825, it tries to alleviate the leaders decembrists with the senate. Popular within the army, it is on the point of successful to exhort the principal leaders, when Pyotr Kakhovsky, one of the rebels of most radical, does not kill it.
