Mikhaïl Siéménovitch Baranov
Mikhaïl Siéménovitch Baranov was a pilot of hunting and Soviet As of the Second world war, holder of the Ordre of Héros of the Soviet Union.
Career
- Born on November 16th, 1921 with Drovetchino , meadows of Smolensk, it started by following courses of piloting in a civil Aéroclub, before joining the Red Army and being patented pilot, in 1940, with the military academy of the Air of Tchougouyevsk .

It joined the face as mladshii leitenant (= Sous-lieutenant) with the 157.IAP (= regiment of air hunting) in December 1941. It gained its 1e air victory in February 1942, by cutting down 1 He-126 , with the orders of a I-16. In 1943 it took part in the Bataille of Koursk in July 1943. It finished the war like major (= Commander).

During four years of war it had taken part in the combat of Rjév, Koursk, Kiev, Bielorussia, Poland and of Berlin and had flown on I-16, Hurricane, Yak-7 and Yak-3.
